Boško Milaković studied playing the contrabass and since 1994 composition with Juraj Tandler at the Conservatory in Bratislava (1992 – 1998). Between 1998 - 2003 continued at the Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava with professor Vladimír Bokes and since 2003 was there as a PhD student. In 2000 he participated in the EDDC (European Dance Development Centre, Arnhem, Netherlands) with Jim Fulkerson, the 11th International Summer Academy in Reichenau, Austria with Erich Urbanner (2001), the 10th International Music Workshop in Buckow with Frangis Ali-Sade (2001) and in Dartington with Pavel Novak (2004). His compositions are frequently performed at various festivals – New Slovak Music, Orpheus, Evenings of New Music, Melos-Ethos, the Contemporary Music Marathon - and concerts in Slovakia and other countries. Boško Milaković is the co-founder of the SOOZVUK Association of Young Composers, founded in 2001.
