Information

The Chamber Orchestra of Lapland is the most northerly professional orchestra in the European Union. In both its working methods and its resources, the Chamber Orchestra of Lapland has become one of the most versatile orchestras in Finland, its adaptability and professionalism making it a front-line actor on the Finnish arts scene. It frequently gives the first performance in Finland of works by international composers of all eras and has premiered works by a number of leading contemporary composers, such as Aulis Sallinen, Paavo Heininen, Pehr Henrik Nordgren and Jószef Sári.
