Information

The OMN has to its credit many first performances of works by foreign and Polish composers, some of which have been written for the ensemble. Its repertoire also includes the classics of contemporary music.The OMN is pursuing an intensive concert activity ever since its foundation, quickly gaining a high reputation in Poland and on the European music circuit. It is also invited regularly to festivals in Poland and abroad. Since 2001, the Orchestra has co-hosted the New Music Festival in Bytom. Thanks to a grant from the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung, it has participated in the project ‘Förderpreise für Polen’ aimed at the promotion of the young generation of Polish and foreign composers.
